Principal Cloud Engineer

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Principal Cloud Engineer for its Johnston, RI location.

Duties: Build, maintain and engineer tools and monitoring solutions comprising the Enterprise Monitoring and Reporting system to provide visibility into operation of technology assets on-premise and in the cloud - Assist in the implementation of a more proactive, predictive team utilizing artificial intelligence, dynamic thresholds, and automated response models to minimize manual work while preventing business service interruptions and ensuring transparency in all aspects of the infrastructure - Focus on continuous process improvement.

Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or related field followed by eight (8) years of progressive experience in the role or in a related position. Full term of experience must include: Developing cloud platforms and automated cloud solutions, including infrastructure-as-code for instantiate cloud solutions using Terraform and Ansible; Planning and deploying observability tools, including Datadog, AppDynamics, NewRelic, Tivoli Monitoring, Runscope and Netcool event management; Configuring Grafana dashboards using observability tools as datasources, including Datadog, AppDynamics, and ServiceNow; Create and manage End to End observability tool chains using Datadog, Appdynamics, Grafana, ServiceNow, Splunk, and CloudWatch; Enabling monitoring for cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure; Enabling auto-remediation for repetitive known issues using tools including Rundeck, IBM RBA, Ansible and Terraform; Migrating on-premises infrastructure to cloud native including upgrading monolithic applications to microservices using AWS cloud migration services; Building and managing RedHat, Amazon, and Linux AMIs, including operating system administration; Implementing cloud automation tools Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Jenkins; and Experience in automating monitoring agent deployments and configurations using Jenkins and Ansible.
