Software Engineer II

Description

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Software Engineer for its Johnston, RI location.

Duties: Owns the design, delivery, and support of complex projects and features. Design, modify, and develop a modern, enterprise-grade CI/CD platform and integrate with a suite of supporting applications and systems Help mentor and develop junior members of the team. Participate in an environment rapidly adopting Agile and DevSecOps practices, adhering to leading practices and collaborating effectively with other technology teams Infuse quality of service characteristics, such as security, scalability, manageability and maintainability, into distributed service-based framework to create or expand business or technical capabilities. Participate in code and design reviews with network, infrastructure and solutions engineering teams to ensure that solutions meet current enterprise standards.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the role or in a related position. Full term of experience must include: Utilizing Atlassian, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket to track tasks and code repositories, and document requirements; Utilizing Git, Bitbucket for code version control and maintaining code repositories; Programming in Java, JavaScript and Python to develop applications and update existing features; Accessing databases and systems, including, PostGres, MySQL to store application data; Administration of application servers such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Nexus repository Manager, NexusIQ, SVN; Utilizing AWS S3, AWS EC2 to store data in the cloud; Utilizing AMI’s, autoscaling groups, load balancers and terraform to maintain infrastructure in the cloud; Utilizing Jenkins, and Datadog to monitor and improve performance of applications; Utilizing Docker and Openshift,  to deploy applications and scale with active users; Utilizing Sonarqube to ensure code quality and security; Utilizing Fortify, NexusIQ for static code analysis along with open source dependency scanning and license analysis; Leveraging Agile methodology to achieve tasks in a team; and Programming in Groovy,Linux and Bash environments to develop applications, run programs and scripts, configure hardware, and troubleshoot problems.
