Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Senior Architect for its Johnston, RI location.

Duties: The Senior Architect will provide deep technical knowledge and architectural design mentorship at a platform and portfolio level and will be a key contributing architect on large and complex projects with a variety of components. The Senior Architect will present designs and technical ideas to an Architecture Review Board. Works with senior level engineers, architects and platform owners to set the platform’s technical direction and strategic objectives. Participates in design and code reviews to ensure both deliveries of desired business outcomes and alignment to enterprise standards. Drives key architecture decisions to solve critical complex problems for assigned and adjacent platforms. Works with the Company Platform Owner and senior architects to guide Technical Platform architecture and engineering teams. Focuses on driving architecture towards long-term Business Unit/Enterprise goals and objectives. Partnering with business leadership to influence priorities and objectives. Captures best-practice knowledge from engineering and field teams and share reference architectures and patterns with technical teams.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, followed by eight (8) years of progressive experience in the role or in a related position. Five (5) years of experience must include: Interpret and analyze data from multiple sources, providing key analytics and reports for leadership; Prepare necessary supporting analytics to assist departmental and business insights and decision making; Research, elicit, and document project and product requirements; and Authoring highly effective written communications including project assessments, business requirements, and user stories and business testing and training material. Experience must also include: Coach the scrum team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices, disciplines, and value to be consistent, effective, and productive team(s); Work closely with product owners, tech leads, portfolio leads, and stakeholders to understand the product strategy, vision, and priorities; Develop and maintain backlog management processes and ensure that security, infrastructure, and operations requirements are represented by stories in the backlog, prioritized appropriately, properly groomed, and accepted by the applicable teams; Drive preparations for successful Big Room Planning sessions through collaboration with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and Portfolio Leads on align priorities and dependencies of epics and stories; and Experiment with and integrate processes and tools that encourage continuous improvement.
