As the Facility Manager within Real Estate Operations, you will have the responsibility for all efforts to execute and deliver Facilities Management and Repairs and Maintenance for a geographical region within the Citizens US based properties. This role is the direct connection to the Repairs and Maintenance team to execute deliverables on all aspects of maintenance necessary. You will direct coordination to a team of mobile technicians either internal or external, along with external vendors. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive facilities / repairs & maintenance support for Retail Banking operations, including complete interior and exterior building structure and grounds maintenance. Through superior client service, you will build customer relations with service providers and client personnel to achieve internal business unit and external client Key Performance Metrics. Primary responsibilities include

  • Manage day-to-day operations and perform various routine site inspections of multiple retail banking and main office building facilities, ranging from 60 to 100 properties, upwards of 500k sq ft.
  • Onsite coordination and facilitation of maintenance and repair needs including but not limited to; Critical Engineering, Energy Services, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, interiors, structures, roofs, landscaping, housekeeping, snowplowing, etc.
  • Ensure adequate facetime with building occupants and key customer contacts, including timely resolution of customer concerns and complaints.
  • Provide accurate and ongoing communication on all building issues to the Senior Facility Manager and act as backup within geographical region for the Senior Facility Manager upon paid time off and represent team within senior team meetings
  • Support and drive the following, within particular geographical region, but lead some specific initiatives:
  • Facility Management and Repairs & Maintenance of geographical region
  • Facility Management compliance to standards
  • Facility Management risk management and mitigation
  • Incident Management of Facility Operations, owning the initiation and completion of incidents
  • CMMS program enhancements to geographical region
  • 10 year strategic maintenance plan for geographical region
  • Best practices and standards management and coordination
  • Ensure compliance to standards for projects
  • MOPs & SOPs standards management and coordination
  • Provide financial reporting and budget preparation; Capital and Expense budgeting, variance reporting for specific geographical region of facilities
  • Ensure timely and successful completion of building repair, maintenance, and service work, ensuring that operations optimize short and long-term operating costs and maintain or improve the integrity of the asset.
  • Respond promptly to building emergencies and coordinate onsite resources. Provide appropriate guidance to vendors in addressing emergencies and facilitate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Accurately measure and manage the performance of suppliers, for continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure Maintenance Management technology systems are correctly used / supported to ensure accurate control of suppliers and workload.
  • Management of a comprehensive program of contract performance reviews with suppliers, covering delivery against contracted performance commitments, problem resolution and incorporation of new requirements / change requests working closely with the Vendor Performance team.
  • Review work order activity to identify repeat issues and ensure quality workmanship and completeness at the site.
  • Manage small construction projects and coordinate as needed with the Projects Team on larger projects.
  • Ensure sites are adhering to local, State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to building operations.

Experience and Skills:

  • Proven communication both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated follow-up skills
  • Proven track record to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to assure successful timely completion of all
  • Computer software proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel as the need arises 

Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License, required

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per week: 40+ Hours

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday. Must be available for on-call requests
