As an Engineering program manager, you will manage and oversee the delivery of our NeXt Gen Learning strategy for Enterprise Technology and Security.   Engineering academies, led by our own in-house subject matter experts, help our colleagues build new skills and capabilities and refresh their existing skills, in a uniquely crafted arena at Citizens.  These academies prepare colleagues for the future by building in-demand skills needed to adapt to our rapidly evolving world. The continuous learning and development opportunities we offer our colleagues help us to fulfill our commitment to attracting, growing, mobilizing, and retaining talent, ensuring that we deliver the capabilities required for both today and the future.  We are looking for a strong leader who can help with facilitating the Citizens’ academies, curating technical content from various sources, and helping conduct the numerous academies we have here at Citizens. 

You will consult with business leaders and HR partners to ensure the development needs of the business are met and will collaborate across the organization and help our colleagues advance their skill, knowledge, and ability in the fast-paced world of Technology. This role is responsible for program management, leadership of learning programs and content, assessing learning program effectiveness, evolving programming, and building new learning solutions in partnership with leaders.  To be successful in this role, deep grounding in external market and the ability to influence executives with subject matter expertise, presence, and diplomacy, is imperative. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator, who can bring together their engineering experience combined with their program management experience to manage the academies and provide a holistic learning/training and development experience to our colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate within and across Enterprise Technology & Security to align initiatives
  • Maintain an understanding of specific technology and security industry trends, guidelines, or standards that may arise, and share relevant insights with stakeholders
  • Set objectives, deliver programs, and measure the results and impact of development initiatives in the business
  • Ability to take concepts from ideation to execution quickly 
  • Design courses, workshops and more that help our colleagues advance their skills and knowledge, while accounting for a colleague base with diverse background and experiences
  • Drive alignment among individual, business unit and corporate objectives by delivering meaningful business solutions, based on comprehensive data review and analysis

Required Skills/Experience

  • Experience assessing, developing, and delivering learning strategies and programs
  • Demonstrated experience building partnerships and working in a matrix operating model
  • Experience driving learning solutions that support transformational change and business strategy    
  • Critical thinking with demonstrated ability to anticipate future needs, analyze processes end-to-end, and break down complex issues into manageable components
  • Strong business acumen with exceptional relationship management skills
  • Superior communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in an a sometimes-ambiguous environment
  • Strategic thinker with ability to pivot and switch to tactical execution quickly

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Understanding or prior experience working through Agile transformation and Client Integrations would be a plus
  • Experience in Program, Project, and Process Management, SDLC (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum) preferred
  • Prior experience working in Technology or Cyber Security and Delivery preferred
  • Visionary – big picture thinker, creative, innovative to help reimagine the possible  
  • Prior experience designing/implementing development programs for Technology and Security organizations/teams preferred

The salary range for this position is $ 103,800  - $ 173,000 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
