Analyst II Asset-Backed Finance

The Asset-Backed Finance (ABF) Analyst II will support senior team members in all aspects of Corporate Credit Securitization (“CCS”) advisory, credit analysis, credit underwriting, client marketing, and deal execution.  The Analyst will report to the Head of Asset-Backed Finance and the role will be based in Charlotte, NC.  The CCS business provides debt and debt advisory services to US based middle market credit managers.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of CCS lending transaction origination, execution, and ongoing maintenance
  • Support ABF business management and reporting
  • Prepare underwriting memos, conduct transaction analysis and summaries, and organize the underwriting process for the lead deal team member   
  • Participate in transaction due diligence calls and meetings
  • Perform market analysis and research as needed
  • Work collaboratively with key internal constituents and external transaction participants in support of ABFG initiatives, including Portfolio Management and Credit Risk Management
  • Monitor and research capital markets trends with focus on CLO developments
  • Maintain internal deal and market databases
  • Contribute to business and client data management processes

    Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1-year relevant work experience
  • Strong Excel skills manipulating large data sets
  • Experience preparing leveraged loan and/or securitization facility credit analysis, including identifying and prioritizing transaction risks and mitigants in concise written format
  • Familiarity with rating agency securitization methodologies
  • Proactive, detailed-oriented, and proven ability to work independently on multiple projects
  • Strong oral and written communicator
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Hours and Work Schedule

Hours per Week:  40

Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday
