The Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) Analyst supports the enterprise geospatial information systems that are utilized to develop long term business strategies for customer facing businesses. Performs professional level duties utilizing strong cartographic and data management skills, including the development and delivery of GIS information products, data and services, data management and mapping, including map production from custom software applications, GIS software technical support, data collection and reformatting. Designs and monitors programs and procedures for users and performs spatial analysis for special projects and performing quality assurance and quality control activities. Utilizes mapping software to define a project and establish work flows, processes, and methods to troubleshoot and problem solve non-routine issues, and to determine and apply the most appropriate information and functionality to accomplish the project objectives.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Overlaying geography with various other analyses to turn data into insights that drive long-term strategic decisions across Core Banking
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses in specialized GIS platforms (ESRI, Placer AI) to generate business intelligence across customer facing businesses
  • Develops, maintains and updates maps and data for presentations, research or display.
  • Utilizes GIS software to design, update and maintain project and geographic point databases
  • Responsible for map production using custom software applications: compiling data from various source materials, digital cartographic editing, and performing quality assurance. Works with a variety of software and databases to leverage demographic, marketing, and competitor data..
  • Develop various ad-hoc analyses in support of distribution strategy and market planning, leveraging performance, demographics, and competitor information to develop recommendations
  • Build strong working relationships with internal partners and teammates. Work with technical and development partners to deliver solutions based on outlined requirements.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geospatial Information Systems, Geography, Cartography, Business Management or a directly related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 2-years work experience with Geographic / Geospatial Information Systems.
  • Experience with the production, editing and maintenance of spatial and non-spatial datasets.
  • Proficient in ArcGIS, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, or any recognized ESRI tool set to develop, import, export and maintain spatial datasets required.
  • Experience in database programming languages such as SQL, R or Python.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint required.

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week:  40
  • Work Schedule:  8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

Role is hybrid, 3 days/week onsite.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $79,104 - $118,656 per year.  Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
