The Summer Internship Program is a critical program helps cultivate talented, young professionals who aspire to be future leaders. As part of this program, you’ll accelerate the development of analytical, communication, and project management skills as well as gain foundational audit skills through on-the-job training with an audit team focused on all key risks across Citizens.
Job Responsibilities
In this program, you will have the opportunity to gain a strong understanding of the function at Citizens as well as great insight into the inner workings of a large financial institution.
You’ll experience a variety of hands-on, impactful projects, gain exposure to senior leaders, and develop a transferable skill-set.
Examples of tasks where you’ll learn about Commercial Banking and its profitability components
- Support Commercial Banking team in the strategic planning process in partnership with business leaders, Finance, Corporate and other stakeholders. Develop vision and execute strategies tied to objectives and key results, roadmaps that are established to measure how we achieve success
- Support Commercial CFO and Commercial Strategy Lead to prepare executive level presentations that communicate business updates such as agile delivery, board updates, financial benefits, or other relevant KPIs
- Perform targeted strategic analysis on the portfolio of businesses across the Commercial bank. (e.g. Assess competitor and share out competitive intelligence, financial analysis on income statement and balance sheets)
- Provide support for various CEO and CFO ad-hoc requests (e.g. meetings with investors of CFG)
Preferred Qualifications

- Relevant work experience, leadership experience or coursework in Finance, Accounting or Economics is preferred but all majors will be considered.
- Strong analytical skills and software skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency is required.
