Description
The landscape specialist (lead) role within Real Estate Operations has the responsibility to execute and deliver a comprehensive landscape maintenance program for Citizens. The incumbent will provide coordination and direction to a team of landscape technicians and external vendors and will assist in providing groundskeeping, building maintenance, along with maintaining equipment and tools.

Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead day-to-day groundskeeping operations of multiple retail banking and main office facilities
- Responsible for developing and managing site(s) budgets alongside facility manager
- Host a daily safety standup to review the days activities and discuss safety related topics
- Complete assigned inspection activities for parking lots, roofs, and other areas as needed
- Lead service provider(s) and coordinate and drive vendor activities
- Assess work completed by colleagues and external vendors against safety and performance standards and work with facility manager and other stakeholders to handle necessary corrective actions
- Perform routine site inspections to review on going maintenance activities, develop corrective action plans and recommend capital planning opportunities from deficiencies noted.
- Perform groundskeeping and building maintenance duties as required
- Assist in mowing lawns either by hand or using a riding lawnmower when needed to expedite work orders or cover for colleagues on PTO
- Recommend specific plants, trees, grass, or other landscape features dependent on local site conditions and established Citizens standards
- Landscape by planting, trimming, and maintaining flowers, grass, shrubs, bushes, and small trees
- Shovel snow from walkways and apply traction as needed
- Clean parking lots, sidewalks, and all exterior areas while performing routine groundskeeping
- Perform spring and fall cleanups to remove excess debris, leaves, and trim landscaping
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping
- Install new hardscaping, river rock, fencing, signage, and other furnishings as required
- Pressure wash building exterior and refresh parking lot painting as needed
- Clean gutters and roof drains of debris
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency service requests and prioritize work order response
- Refer work to vendors if necessary, via work order system
- Closing out work orders upon completion; via iPad or Computerized Maintenance Management System
- Maintain inventory of supplies, tools and materials and purchasing supplies at the best available price
- Communicate in a pleasant and professional manner with internal and external customers
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and utilized in a safe manner consistent with established standards
Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance
- 3 or more years of experience leading landscape crews
- Experience driving larger vehicles such as box trucks & pickup trucks with trailers
- Proven customer service experience and/or abilities
- Competent use of MS Office applications to include MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to travel as required
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and accuracy
- Ability to plan and prioritize workload
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather to complete jobs safely
- Comfortable working at heights (ladders, roof top, etc)
- Proven track record to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to assure successful timely completion of all
Education, Certifications, and/or Professional Credentials:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License, required
- Horticultural degree or related experience desired but not required
Hours & Work Schedule:
- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with some weekend and/or overtime
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $26.18 - $35.42 per hour. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
