The Process Automation Support Manager is an experienced professional providing automation expertise and leadership. In this role you will lead the tactical direction of deploying cost effective and efficient automation solutions on an Agile team of automation developers. This is a leadership position where a forward-thinking mindset on future technologies such as Cognitive learning and Artificial Intelligence is in balance with tactical delivery. This is an advanced position requiring deep and broad technical expertise in a wide variety of technology areas with a focus on Robotic Process Automation and Intelligent Workflow development.  You will use your expert knowledge and leadership skills to grow and advance the teams to a best-in-class automation support group and to evangelize and champion for the Automation program.  You will have expertise in computer programming principles and an advanced understanding of all automation tools. You will be accountable for the success of the suite of automation solutions that positively impact the customer and colleague experience and solve business challenges.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Support existing automations through team leadership.  Research, innovate & pilot new automation support tools and processes.
  • Influence the design of automation solutions across the enterprise based on best-in-practice support needs.
  • Application support oversight through a team of application support developers.
  • Support and propose unique automation development enhancements for complex automation challenges.
  • Implement strategic processes for best-in-class support.
  • Work with Platform Architecture team to ensure platform stability and capacity planning.
  • Consult with Technology Architecture team to plan for future software architectural requirements and changes.
  • Manage and balance on-shore and off-shore team resources to ensure automation platforms are adequately supported.
  • Ensure that our business partner engagement has a tangible customer metric; engagement objectives should include a focus on either the reduction of complaints, an increase in customer satisfaction or both.
  • Influence a culture of communication and transparency to our business colleagues ensuring performance that aligns with the clear terms, defined measurable results, and on-time delivery to which we have committed.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Intelligent Automation – 5-10 years – with demonstrated understanding and experience with Automation tools and methodologies including BluePrism, UIPath, and/or Power Platform.  Experience with Lean/Six Sigma, Lean Transformation, Theory of Constraints, and Business Process Management is preferred.
  • Leadership and Management – 3-7 years – must have demonstrated ability to lead, develop and coach automation development teams. Experience with team development tools and methodologies are preferred.
  • Technologies – 1-5 years – must have experience with business process management and workflow technologies and/or Intelligent Document Processing.
  • Financial Services Industry Experience – must have experience in heavily regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, government). Experience across multiple business domains and process areas is preferred.
  • Must be self-driven with the ability to develop and maintain the process improvement and remediation pipeline.
  • Strong process improvement and business transformation technical skills as well as project management
  • Strong technical skills with proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and multiple engagement teams
  • Strong commitment to growing and developing the department including training, coaching and mentoring
  • Strong technical aptitude, ability to learn and remain current with automation and AI technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant industry experience. 

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: M-F (3 days in office minimum)

Pay Transparency 

The salary range for this position is $ 121,869  - $ 182,804 .per year  plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
