Middle Office Trade Support Associate

Citizens JMP Securities is seeking a Middle Office Trade Support Associate to join our Trade Support team in Charlotte. This position is focused on supporting daily Fixed Income trading activities on the desk, working directly with traders and salespeople. It is a position that will both allow and demand fast learning and evolution. The role also involves dealing with a fast paced, detail oriented environment, where accuracy and control are vital. 

Primary responsibilities include

• Ensure timely allocations and settlement of all trades
• Onboard new trading counterparties by gathering required documentation and sign-offs
• Provide recurring and ad-hoc reports to traders and salespeople for positions, P&L, customer trade volumes, and other scenarios as they arise
• Provide first line support for technology needs of traders and salespeople on their computers, phones, and mobile apps, and request IT help when needed
• Review internal user permissions across systems to maintain proper segregation of duties
• Manage customer enablement across multiple electronic trading platforms, maintain trader watchlists
• Understand connectivity between systems including trade feeds, reporting dashboards, and regulatory platforms, and troubleshoot issues in real time to ensure reliable data management
• Partner with support teams across Finance, Compliance, Market Risk, Operational Risk, and Internal Audit

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

• 3+ years operations experience in investment banking.  Experience in Fixed Income and Trade support is highly preferred. 
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to perform in a dynamic trading environment.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to details is a must. 
• Self starter, be able to multi task and take ownership. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Series 7 and 63 licenses will be required within 90 days of hiring.  

Hours & Work Schedule

• Hours per Week: 40 
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
