The Enterprise Data Platforms, Risk and Finance Technology team is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a winning track record in building high performing data and analytical solutions that transform, integrate, and make data available for business. 

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the management of existing Data Frameworks and development of new frameworks that solve data problems across the enterprise. You will also be responsible for building and deploying data products including driving architecture, design, build, test, and support applications in production.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Drive technical requirements of Data Frameworks and build solutions to meet them.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the frameworks as well as create new frameworks that can be built once and re-used across multiple use cases.
  • Building robust data pipelines to collect process and compute different metrics from various financial sources, adhering to quality and development standards.
  • Designing application architecture / technical design and articulating the data frameworks to team members and data engineers.
  • Collaborating with cross functional team members as necessary and coming up with optimal solutions that meet data demands.
  • Deploy high performing, quality/bug-free code in production. 
  • Executing unit test of data populated in target data container, validating expected result and ensuring quality and accuracy. Coordinating with business users for User Acceptance Testing and with Operations team for code deployment to upper environments.
  • Following change management team stipulations on path to production requirements and strictly adhering to the compliance and regulatory needs.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Working experience with ETL Development tools like Snowflake tasks and streams,  Talend, Data Stage would be a plus
  • RDBMS experience in either of Teradata, Oracle, MS-SQL, DB2, RedShift, Snowflakes, etc.
  • Proven track record of working with batch processes
  • Worked with any of the scheduling tools (Autosys, Tidal, Oozie)
  • Experience with AWS cloud native services such as S3, RDS, EC2, etc.
  • Experience working with various operating systems, Windows.
  • Excellent skills in SQL Development, stored procedures, Views, functions, etc.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, especially banking.

Desired Qualifications

  • Working experience with streaming capabilities such as Apache Spark or Kafka, Beam, Flink would be a plus
  • Work experience with microservices and batch sources would be a plus
  • Data engineering experience for Data science projects where Machine learning is used (R, SAS, etc.)
  • Business Intelligence/Reporting development experience using tools such as Tableau, Cognos, SAS, etc.
  • Experience with handling structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.

Education, Certifications, and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science
  • Preferred: BigData Technology/AWS/Agile Certification

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $155,000 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
