Position: Product Owner - SD-WAN and Transit

Job Summary:

Citizens Bank is seeking a Platform Manager with specialized expertise in Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) to oversee the integration and management of our global WAN. The ideal candidate will lead the development of an SD-WAN infrastructure that connects all CFG offices, data centers, ATMs, and branches, optimizing network performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Spearhead the SD-WAN and Transit product vision, creating a highly resilient and efficient WAN that connects CFG's distributed resources.

Manage and execute the full product lifecycle for the SD-WAN infrastructure, from strategic planning to operational deployment and support.

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in network design principles, particularly in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and BFD.

Drive the selection and management of underlay networks to support a cost-effective and high-performing WAN.

Prioritize product backlog items, including new features, system enhancements, and critical fixes.

Ensure optimal performance of the network, focusing on throughput, latency, and reliability.

Work with cross-functional teams on circuit provisioning and management processes.

Evaluate and incorporate leading SD-WAN solutions such as VMWare Velocloud and Cisco SDWAN (Viptella), as well as tools like Aviatrix and SmartSite for network management.

Collaborate with IT, security, and business stakeholders to ensure the network meets the evolving needs of CFG.

Develop a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with the strategic goals of Citizens Bank.

Required Skills:

Proficient in routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and advanced networking concepts such as MPLS and BFD.

Experience with circuit ordering and management within a large-scale business environment.

Expert knowledge of SD-WAN technologies, specifically VMWare Velocloud and Cisco SDWAN (Viptella).

Familiarity with cloud networking solutions like Aviatrix and network management tools such as SmartSite.

Strong project management skills and experience with Agile methodologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in WAN or network infrastructure roles, with at

least 2 years in a product management capacity.

Certifications in networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCDP) or specific SD-WAN technologies are highly desirable.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead complex technical projects..

Pay Transparency 

The salary range for this position is $ 184,080 - $ 225,000 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
