Position: Platform Manager - Network Security and Load Balancing

Job Summary:

Citizens Bank is seeking an experienced Platform Manager to lead the Network Security and Load Balancing product line. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering automated network security policies across all our networking platforms, including firewalls, routers, and outbound proxies, to protect the bank’s data and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion the vision for automated network security and load balancing within Citizens Bank, ensuring robust security postures across the networking infrastructure.

Oversee the architecture, implementation, and operations of firewall configurations, outbound proxy management, and load balancing solutions.

Drive the automation of port open requests (POR) changes, as well as load balancer (LB) configurations, to enhance security and performance.

Implement data center and cloud-based zero trust security models, along with micro-segmentation strategies to safeguard network environments.

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for network security tools and load balancing techniques.

Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Maintain a clear product backlog that addresses both new security features and ongoing improvements to existing systems.

Manage the integration of industry-leading tools such as Palo Alto, F5, AWS, Azure, ForcePoint, Netskope, Zscaler, and Illumio.

Provide strategic direction for the product line and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Required Skills:

Strong expertise in network security technologies including firewalls, load balancers, and outbound proxy systems.

Proficient with Palo Alto and F5 appliances, as well as AWS and Azure native firewall and load balancing network constructs.

Experience with network security platforms such as ForcePoint, Netskope, Zscaler, and Illumio.

Knowledge of automated network security policy implementations and load balancing architectures.

Familiarity with zero trust security principles and micro-segmentation techniques.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in network security or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years in a product owner or leadership role.

Relevant certifications in network security (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security) are preferred.

Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills..

Pay Transparency 

The salary range for this position is $ 184,080 - $ 225,000 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
