At Citizens, we invest in the humans who build the logic, ideas, and innovations that bring new technologies to life. As Manager of Mainframe Engineering, you will maintain, support, tune and enhance the Citizens z/OS Mainframe systems. 

This includes, but is not limited to, Mainframe health, ISV product support, issue resolution, and SME support and consultancy to production, operations, applications, and technical teams. Your work will drive innovation within the company, to ensure the functionality, deployment, and scalability of Citizen’s Mainframe platform.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the overall support and health of the Mainframe Software and Hardware environment
• Oversee installation, maintenance and upgrades of various ISV program products and subsystems using SMP/E
• Coordinate 24X7 production support and secondary level z/OS system support.
• Manage offshore resources and escalate to Senior Engineers and manager, as needed.
• Work with other support, development, and user groups to manage requests.
• Work with vendors on software licensing, issues, and upgrades as needed.
• Aid applications and operations teams with problem determination.
• Provide SME support and consultancy to various teams.
• Plan, schedule, and manage all assigned tasks and projects.
• Act as a technical liaison between technical and nontechnical colleagues, including senior management, operations teams, engineers, architects, etc. to offer operational insight to upcoming updates, implementations, installations, tests, and strategies.
• Lead proactive efforts to improve the performance, accessibility, capability, control, and functionality.
• Identify cost savings opportunities.

Pay Transparency 

The salary range for this position is $ 154,160 - $ 231,240 per year  plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
