The Data Strategy & Connectivity Lead is a critical role within the business and its Commercial Digital & Operations team - working to deliver and sustain cutting-edge data analytics, intelligence and decisioning, connectivity/API integration, and open/embedded banking capabilities.
The role will require knowledge of commercial banking and the various wholesale banking product categories offered including Commercial Bilateral Credit, Capital Markets (Syndicated Lending, Private Equity, M&A), Treasury (Payments, Cash Management, Liquidity, Corporate Card, Trade and Supply Chain Finance), and Hedging (FX, Rate Derivatives, Commodities). It will provide deep business expertise, strategic leadership and direction, data facilitation and understanding of client and colleague-enhancing transformational change, incorporating:
- Machine Learning, Predictive and Generative AI
- Internal/external APIs and emerging Model Context Protocols (MCPs)
- Experience and journey personalization
- Intelligent workflow orchestration and automation
- Inbound/outbound document digitization
- Data analytics, decisions and recommendations
Working directly with agile sponsors and leadership, the Data Strategy & Connectivity Lead ensures the overall data and connectivity vision is defined for Commercial Digital and that multiple business data initiatives are planned and delivered within our broad agile delivery portfolio.
Responsibilities of the Data Strategy & Connectivity experience leader include:
- Defining our long-term data/open banking vision and championing it with senior leadership
- Developing related product and business strategy; ensuring investments achieve the vision and are sustained within the business once deployed
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners in Technology, Data, Cyber, Design, Risk, and others to deliver the required capabilities
- Ensuring the portfolio meets/exceeds requirements of relevant open banking regulations
- Supporting the Business to deliver new data and connectivity experiences
- Growing, mentoring and collaborating within a high-performing strategy team
The outcome(s) of these large-scale initiatives consume significant amounts of funding and have material impacts upon the success of business strategies and plans. The role requires functional knowledge of data models, architectures and languages as well as strong quantitative, analytical, and program management skills - including experience using agile software development and business delivery methodologies/tools such as Jira (inc. Plans).
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant business or technology discipline, 6+ years of change delivery and management experience in Banking, Management Consultancy, or Enterprise Software (Financial Services) industries.
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $ 132,097 - $ 220,162.per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
