Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and collaborative Head of Product Solutions to lead our Receivables, Payables, Access Channels, and Sponsorship and Merchant Referrals businesses. This EVP will be responsible for shaping product strategy, driving innovation, and delivering commercial outcomes across the full suite of treasury services. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the commercial banking landscape and product management. This role will partner closely with senior leaders across the Commercial Bank and Enterprise Payments to drive product modernization, asses strategic investments, and evaluate opportunities that enhance our value proposition and market position. This role requires strong collaboration with peers in Strategy, Technology, Finance, Corporate Development, and Risk to deliver scalable, differentiated solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients in advance Citizens’ broader innovation agenda.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute the multi-year product strategy for receivables, payables, and access channels.
- Align roadmap with client needs, industry trends, regulatory requirements, and enterprise priorities.
- Partner with key internal stakeholders across Technology, Sales, Operations, Finance, Risk, and Legal to deliver client-centric solutions and drive strategic initiatives.
- Lead platform modernization efforts, including real-time capabilities, API enablement, and integrated digital experiences.
Product Leadership and Innovation:
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, from ideation to commercialization, across all solution areas.
- Identify gaps and opportunities in the product portfolio; lead business case development and prioritization.
- Serve as executive sponsor for high-impact product initiatives and enterprise modernization programs.
- Champion data-driven decision-making and performance measurement across the product suite.
Market and Industry Engagement:
- Monitor emerging trends in payments, liquidity, and digital banking to inform strategy and differentiation.
- Represent Citizens at client forums, industry events, and with regulators as needed.
- Maintain a network of peers and thought leaders across banking and fintech ecosystems.
Team and Talent Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product leaders and subject matter experts.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
- Promote cross-functional integration and knowledge sharing across the broader organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in treasury or commercial banking product management.
- Deep expertise across receivables (e.g., lockbox, remote deposit, integrated receivables), payables (e.g., ACH, wires, integrated payables, virtual card), and access channels (e.g., online banking, APIs, file transmission).
- Familiarity with Merchant Referral partnerships that drive client acquisition, enhanced fee-based revenue, and expand commercial payments reach. Experience overseeing or supporting BIN Sponsorship programs, including sponsoring third-party payment processes into the Visa and Mastercard networks.
- Proven track record of delivering market-leading solutions and driving measurable growth.
- Strong executive presence, influencing skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas to senior stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the regulatory and risk landscape relevant to treasury and payments.
- Experience managing through organizational change and leading large-scale product transformations.
