Responsibilities 

Responsible for either a portfolio of complex / critical projects or planning and managing a large project related to Vendor management and Records Management. through project teams OR manage large projects on own.  Likely to be working direct for project sponsor or for Program Manager with limited supervision. Responsible for the management of significant projects/activities (e.g., strategic change management, new business and product initiatives, process re-engineering, establishment of control procedures) within Enterprise Technology and Security.  Sometimes referred to as internal consultants, individuals work on multi-disciplinary projects and require a broad knowledge of the firm and its key functions. Strong quantitative, analytical, and project management skills are required. Incumbents may utilize agile software development methodologies.

The Sr Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • 40% Tactical/ 60% Transactional. Primary focus of role is on day-to-day operational execution, with occasional contribution to broader planning within area of expertise.
  • Ensure business requirements have been clearly defined and documented.
  • Resolve any vendor-related issues, such as delivery errors or contract disputes.
  • Monitor and evaluate vendor performance to ensure they meet our standards and expectations.
  • Partner with the Business, Control, Legal, Compliance, and Third-Party Risk Management teams to ensure the appropriate level of oversight is in place and the vendors are meeting business and contractual requirements
  • Provide advice about the managements of records for Technology Services under the guidance of Citizens Records Management Team, promoted the appropriate identification, storage and overall management of records.
  • Drive continuous improvement across multiple processes and initiatives.
  • Extensive liaison and direct contact with a diverse range of businesses and functions, both within and outside of Citizens. Create, foster and instill a climate of resources adding value in delivering projects by striving for excellence

Required Qualifications  

  • Proven work experience as a Vendor Manager or similar role in supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes and inventory management systems.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and databases.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas.  
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrated with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market. 
  • Knowledge of the current business operating model and supporting systems / applications including structures and key Citizens processes and procedures. 
  • Knowledge of banking products and terminology. 
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office applications to include Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word. 
  • Ability to create and foster a climate of adding value in delivering projects by striving for excellence.  
  • Self-thinker able to work through issues and escalate only when appropriate. 
  • Flexibility to work on technology, change and business process projects. 
  • Maximize the customer experience and minimize risk and cost of change. Proven track record of end-to-end delivery to time, cost and quality.

  • Required: Bachelor's degree
