Description
The Risk Analytics Senior Analyst will provide support to the newly centralized Risk Analytics Center of Excellence (RACOE) Credit Policy and Governance function. The candidate will help ensure a comprehensive and compliant Credit Risk framework is effectively implemented, maintained, and communicated to stakeholders through utilization of efficient and varied delivery approaches.
The candidate will work with a wide range of internal stakeholders, including all RACOE teams, first- and second-line credit risk management, credit assurance functions, as well as internal support teams to manage key credit risk policy and control related-matters. Further, the candidate will support the evolving functional operations of the Credit Policy and Governance function, centralizing key governance activities and monitoring, and supporting continuous improvement therein.
The candidate will:
- Support the administration of the Bank’s Retail Credit Policy Manual (RCPM), Commercial Credit Policy (CPC) and related documents, working closely with colleagues to ensure the manuals remain fit for purpose on a perpetual basis. Specific responsibilities may include editorial/publication oversight of policies; change-related reporting, including publication of internal change-related memoranda; and tracking/reporting of action items.
- Develop and/or maintain procedures specifically related to both credit policy management processes and internal RACOE department processes, ensuring procedures accurately support policy processes and are reviewed on at least an annual basis.
- Support the administration of monthly policy committee and forum meetings, including scheduling, data collation, and distribution of materials.
- Manage the consumer credit and business banking risk management lending authority processes by reviewing requests for proper approval, maintaining master credit authority records and coordinating annual lending authority ratification processes.
- Conduct monthly reporting quality control process for RACOE, sampling production and ad hoc reports to ensure that documented procedures are followed in the production, sufficient controls exist and are evidenced, and validation of reports. Prepare and present management report covering findings and identify trends/items of note.
- Actively engage in or lead focused projects and initiatives, within and across RACOE and engaging with external partners/stakeholders in support.
- Assist in overall group governance and administrative processes and tasks, including staff communications, records maintenance, and documentation management, security and access reviews, and special ad-hoc tasks as needed.
- Provide support for internal audits and assessments, and external and regulatory exams, including the collection of responsive materials and tracking of requests, engagement with Central Risk and testing functions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of financial services experience, with exposure to risk management processes and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Well-organized, efficient, detail-oriented, having an ability to handle simultaneously multiple tasks and changing priorities in an efficient and effective manner
- Exceptional attention to detail and demonstrated ability to consistently produce high quality, accurate work
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and to adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives
- Extensive leadership skills including influencing without direct management
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant equivalent experience
Hours and Work Schedule: 3 days in the office 2 remote
