The ServiceNow Asset Manager will provide subject matter expertise and hands-on technical development/delivery support to establish core capabilities and provide ongoing enhancement of the ServiceNow Hardware and Software Asset management modules. This includes reporting around compliance and obsolete endpoints, terminations, decommissions, disposal reassignment of assets and overall asset lifecycle behaviors.
The role includes in-depth knowledge around reviewing contracts, uploading and maintaining licensing entitlements, creating and maintaining the necessary hardware and software models, understanding of the different out of the box publisher packs, and overall reporting for asset health monitoring. This person will provide an understanding of the requirements and objectives of ITIL and ITSM best practices and advises the organization on overall health of asset management.
Primary responsibilities include:
Working within the hardware and software asset management modules of ServiceNow.
Converting software licensing contracts into product models and entitlements.
Designing reports to prove out the critical success factors and KPIs.
Designing reports for all levels of the organization
Understanding all data points in ServiceNow and how it interrelates to other aspects of platform and the organization.
Being able to identify where data integrations are possible and or necessary to improve overall process and facilitate automation.
Focus on communications and familiar with products and product models
Process design, identification of critical success factors, KPIs and measurement
Translate risk language into actionable items and deliverables designed to continually enhance processes.
Ability to work in an Agile framework
Minimum of 5 years' experience with Asset Management, Asset Discovery and CMDB integrations with a specific focus on the ServiceNow Asset Management module.
Strong hands-on experience in troubleshooting ServiceNow Discovery, integrations and import logs with external data source.
Familiarity with a broad range of Infrastructure concepts to include software, server, network, database, storage, and infrastructure components, etc.
A general familiarity with software modeling and allocations.
Strong written and verbal communication, good interpersonal skills, including collaboration, communication, relationship building, and negotiation
Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:
Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in Business, Information Management or a related field required
