Senior Solution Engineer

Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Senior Solution Engineer for its Johnston, RI location.

Duties: Supports Enterprise Data Quality Defects remediation support requests. Determines root cause of data anomalies raised by end users and internal users, coordinates remediation plans working with technical team leads and data SME, articulates technical aspects of quantitative data issues to appropriately prioritize them, recommends solutions, develops and maintains documentation to ensure compliance with Data management policy in the bank. Develops productive partnerships and broad networks across the bank to be able to successfully communicate and resolve the Data Quality issues on time based on the priorities. Gathers requirements to support build of Data Quality checks for DQ monitoring interactive dashboard. Serves as an SME when working with various teams on solutions. Communicates with end users and source owners regarding remediation efforts. Creates robust reporting and issue tracking.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field followed by five (5) years of progressive experience in the role or in a related position. Full term of experience must include: Performing data mapping, data analysis and translation of business, data and functional requirements or business rules into documented requirements and data delivery specifications, evaluating data attributes from various interfacing systems and enterprise data warehouse to ensure accuracy in data mapping and data values; Designing, developing, testing, and deploying Tableau reports to support production data reconciliation processes; Conducting test strategy, test planning, and execution using Aqua Data Studio and Dbeaver, and developing test scenarios and test cases with expected results based on requirements using Python, Jupyter Notebook, Aqua Data Studio, Dbeaver, and Athena; Performing exploratory data analysis for on prem and cloud databases, including AWS Redshift, GCP Big query, and Snowflake, using SQL like technologies to profile data; Analyzing system datasets and providing summaries of findings, including explanation of variances and root causes; and Writing and documenting complex queries in SQL to build data quality controls.
