Responsibilities

As a Senior Architect, you will be instrumental in bringing innovative ideas to fruition. Your role will be central to the successful integration of disruptive technologies within the organization. The senior architect is capable of working across multiple technology domains and developing a solution and presenting the design. The Senior Architect provides deep technical knowledge and architectural design mentorship at a platform and portfolio level and will be a key contributing architect on large/complex projects with a variety of components. The Senior Architect is capable of presenting designs and ideas to an Architecture Review Board.

The Senior Architect will be responsible for:

  • Working with senior level engineers, architects and platform owner to set the platform’s technical direction and strategic objectives.
  • Aligning efforts with central architecture function to influence technical standards and progress enterprise objectives.
  • Participating in design reviews to ensure both deliveries of desired business outcomes and alignment to enterprise standards. 
  • Driving key architecture decisions to solve critical complex problems for assigned and adjacent platforms. Working with the Company Platform Owner and senior architects to guide Technical Platform architecture and engineering teams.
  • Focusing on driving architecture towards long-term Business Unit/Enterprise goals and objectives. Partnering with business leadership to influence priorities and objectives.
  • Capturing best-practice knowledge from engineering and field teams and share reference architectures and patterns with technical teams. Networking with peers on technical matters, design prototypes, system designs and enterprise-wide research projects.

 RequiredQualifications 

  • 10+ years of Network Infrastructureand Financial Services industry experience
  • Experience with multiple IT disciplines with a confirmed understanding of relevant architectural concepts
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and demonstrated ability to operate in this model
  • Strong communication skills ability to facilitate technical conversations with non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with architecture and solution development in the following technologies
    • Public Cloud; AWS, Azure, Oracle, Kindral/IBM zCloud, Goggle
    • Private Cloud, Software Defined Data Center
    • SD-WAN, VeloCloud or equivalent product
    • Infrastructure Security concepts and strategies
    • DevOps methodologies
    • Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Hashicorp Terraform, Ansible Tower, Python Deployment and/or Custom Scripting
    • Hashi Corp Consul
    • Networking platforms, firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco) routing/switching (Cisco, Arista, Cumulus etc.), DNS/DHCP (Infoblox), application load balancers proxy servers (NetScope, Forcepoint)
    • Confluence, Jira, Slack
    • Collaboration, Voice and Video platforms

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related technical discipline with 10+ years of network architecture experience
  • Experience supporting a multi-platform network environment with demonstrated ability to lead the integration of new technologies through the complete solution lifecycle
  • Proven architecture leadership experience
  • Ability to apply sound network architecture principles to set the tone and pace for the maturation of the program
  • Proven ability to influence and gain trust at a peer group in business and technology levels in multi-culture environments
  • Ability to manage complex activities simultaneously to short timescales
  • Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivation with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing technology and business environment

Education and Certifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.

The salary range for this position is $ 121.520$ 182,280, plus benefits and an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus.
