The Senior Trust Operations Specialist will be responsible for performing various functions within the Middle Office Financial Group. Tasksinclude, but are not limited to, processing incoming and outgoing wires and checks, recording all money movements and processing stop payments, bill payments and closing account disbursements. The successful candidate will create and review reports and monitor work queues to identify responsibilities and track them to completion. Additional tasks may include fee schedule set-ups and maintenance and fee collection activities to increase coverage within the department. Ad-hoc management requests to complete cash and position reconciliations and regulatory reporting can also be expected.  

The candidate must be detail-oriented, work with a high degree of accuracy and possess research and problem resolution skills.  He/She must also be capable of managing tasks within established deadlines and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Review account postings throughout the day to ensure execution of client requests booked to the Trust Accounting system
  • Confirm all incoming wires and checks are credited to appropriate accounts
  • Execute operational settlement wires and international wires
  • Process all deposit wires and rebates
  • Monitor all outgoing wires to ensure all are processed
  • Process stop payments and bill payments
  • Process closing account disbursements
  • Research, analyze and verify money movements and make any necessary adjustments to customer accounts
  • Handle discrepancies and customer inquiries in an accurate and timely manner
  • Prepare client materials in an accurate, complete and professional manner
  • Provide coverage for other operational staff during peak times and vacation


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years securities operations experience
  • Strong research and problem solving skills
  • Ability to identify issues and drive for resolution
  • Understanding of the importance of data accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to perform responsibilities accurately and independently in a fast-paced multi-task environment
  • Flexible team player
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills - Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience providing operational support for Trust/investment accounts for high net worth clients in a Private Bank
  • Experience using the InnoTrust accounting platform
