Description
A critical member of the Agency client relationship team who is responsible for ensuring loans with complex loan structures or documentation requirements are closed and documented in accordance with the credit approval. The incumbent is responsible for accurately booking the loan to the loan accounting system. The incumbent will also assist closers perform appropriate due diligence tasks, including all KYC due diligence, review operational risk components and ensure conditions precedent are met prior to closing or funding a loan. As part of the Agency team the incumbent must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in order to interact efficiently and effectively with internal business partners, legal counsel and clients. Knowledge of Federal regulations, loan documentation terms and conditions including Credit Agreements, Notes, Guarantees, and collateral is required as the incumbent acts a gate keeper for certain compliance and reporting requirements. The incumbent is expected to perform these functions under supervision of a Team Leader.
Perform appropriate due diligence tasks, review operational risk components, and ensure conditions precedent are met prior to closing or funding a loan.
Participate in colleague events, including but not limited to daily huddles, Root Cause Problem Solving sessions, special projects, and bank-initiated meetings.
Consistently maintain a state of internal and external audit and risk readiness.
Exhibit the ability to identify risk issues and escalate.
Complete required training timely and with a passing score
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in the closing of transactions required
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in order to interact efficiently and effectively with internal business partners, legal counsel and clients.
- Knowledge of Commercial Loans
- Knowledge of Federal regulations, loan documentation terms and conditions including Credit Agreements, Notes, Guarantees and collateral is required as the incumbent acts as a gate keeper for certain compliance and reporting requirements.
- Detail oriented to maintain high degree of accuracy in execution and data quality
- Comprehensive analytical ability to facilitate complex problem resolution
- Adept at PC and mainframe applications
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
