Description

The CRE Senior Credit Officer role is a leadership individual contributor role responsible for credit decisions and 2nd line of-defense portfolio oversight for a portfolio of credit relationships with real estate developers, REITs and private equity real
estate asset managers.


Responsible for:

  • Objectively identifying risk and pro-actively guiding the development of protective and balanced credit structures and
  • decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to portfolio strategic objectives, credit policies and all related administrative procedures.
  • Highly visible senior management leadership role requiring decisiveness and interpersonal skills combined with the ability
  • to prioritize and operate in a multi-tasked and geographically dispersed environment both independently and expediently.
  • Has broad indirect impact on multiple colleagues within the coverage and portfolio management teams for which they are
  • assigned.
  • Strategizes and leads risk management responsibility for assigned region of commercial real estate loan portfolios and
  • related products or services.
  • Credit authority & accountability on par with Senior Portfolio Management Leaders & Regional Managers.

Qualifications

  • 10 or more years Risk management/approval experience required.
  • CRE line lending experience of 10 years or more strongly preferred. Broad knowledge of products and related risk issues.
  • Strong knowledge of the National/Institutional CRE markets/products.  REIT and Data Center experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a commercial or investment bank is acceptable as well as some experience on the development side.
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to function decisively with complete independence consistent with group objectives.\

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • MBA, CFA and/or MAI preferred.

Hours and Work Schedule 3 days in the office 2 remote

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday-Frriday
