Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be leading the development of product features powering the next generation of web and mobile banking systems for Citizens Bank.

Primary responsibilities include:   

  • Developing secure, robust, and rich full-stack features powering our mobile/ web banking experiences and third party integrations

  • Providing mentorship to junior developers via code reviews and collaboration 

  • Developing tools and automation that enhance software development practices

  • Collaborating with other developers, leads, designers, architects, and product owners to ensure development aligns with business expectations

  • Developing solutions that achieve quality standards and can be supported in a production environment


Required Skills/Experience:  

  • 5+ years of experience developing and supporting production code

  • Strong knowledge of OOP and REST design principles

  • Strong relational database experience

  • Experience with full stack frameworks like Node.js

  • Experience developing cloud and container based micro-service applications

  • Experience developing unit and integration tests alongside functional code

  • Experience working on an Agile team

  • Ability to own the delivery of features into production 

Preferred Skills/Experience:  

  • Financial Services/Banking industry experience 

  • Experience developing and supporting consumer facing software systems in a production environment

  • Experience mentoring junior developers

Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:   

  • Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years Software Development Experience in lieu of Degree

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: M-F
