Description

A critical member of the commercial banking client relationship team who is responsible for ensuring loans with complex loan structures or documentation requirements are closed and documented in accordance with the credit approval. The incumbent is responsible for accurately booking the loan to the loan accounting system. The incumbent is responsible to perform appropriate due diligence tasks, including all KYC due diligence, review operational risk components and ensure conditions precedent are met prior to closing or funding a loan. As part of the client service team the incumbent must possess strong verbal and written communication skills in order to interact efficiently and effectively with internal business partners, legal counsel and clients.  Knowledge of Federal regulations, loan documentation terms and conditions including Credit Agreements, Notes, Guarantees, and collateral is required as the incumbent acts a gate keeper for certain compliance and reporting requirements.   The incumbent is expected to perform these functions under supervision of a Team Leader.

Description of Function:

Reconcile Loan Accounting Recon account for assigned Loans.

Ensure completed KYC due diligence documentation is received prior to onboarding new clients or any trigger events for existing clients.

Manage and clear post closing legal documentation exceptions in compliance with bank policy.

Implement effective controls and proactively initiate action over key client indicators and managing loan closings within established Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). Effective verbal and written communication with business partners and clients.

Participate in colleague events, including but not limited to daily huddles, Root Cause Problem Solving sessions, special projects, and bank-initiated meetings.

Consistently maintain a state of internal and external audit and risk readiness.

Exhibit the ability to identify risk issues and escalate.

Complete required training timely and with a passing score

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in the closing of transactions required
  • LIQ experience
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in order to interact efficiently and effectively with internal business partners, legal counsel and clients.
  • Knowledge of Commercial Loans
  • Knowledge of Federal regulations, loan documentation terms and conditions including Credit Agreements, Notes, Guarantees and collateral is required as the incumbent acts as a gate keeper for certain compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Detail oriented to maintain high degree of accuracy in execution and data quality
  • Comprehensive analytical ability to facilitate complex problem resolution
  • Adept at PC and mainframe applications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Work Schedule:

Hours: 40, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
