The Analysis & Reporting Analyst is a key member of the Loan and Specialty Operations (LSO) Department, with a particular emphasis on supporting the Collections & Recovery operation within LSO. The colleague will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering reporting solutions to support the operation and drive strategic decision making in a variety of ways.  Examples include transaction level reporting to highlight processing exceptions or critical work actions needed, colleague performance data to drive coaching, feedback, and incentive, identification of target populations meeting complex eligibility criteria for specialized treatments, aggregate views of portfolio inventories and pipelines to give multiple levels of management indicators of key performance, etc.  There will be significant data mining and research responsibilities, including obtaining access to multiple sources of data and consulting with subject matter experts to understand the practical applications of transaction and status codes. The candidate will also be responsible for instituting efficiency and effectiveness enhancements to the reporting program, including automating reports, establishing procedures and cross-training on multiple functions.  In this role, the colleague will interact with various audiences at multiple leadership levels in the organization, which will require sound communication skills and business acumen, in addition to strong technical and analytical skills.  The role requires an ability to work in a face-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and an ability to communicate progress updates and risks to timelines As an Analysis & Reporting Analyst, you will have the opportunity to apply analytics to solve complex business problems and be part of a dynamic, team-oriented environment offering multiple opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deliver transaction level and aggregate level reporting, including process exception reports, colleague performance scorecards, health of process heat maps, key performance indicator reporting, etc.
  • Conduct research needed to obtain access to key data sources and consult with subject matter experts to understand operational data definitions
  • Trouble-shoot reporting anomalies and make modify existing reporting packages as business needs require
  • Implement automation of standard reporting
  • Establish written procedures for key functions to enable cross-training and contingency planning
  • Manage projects to timely completion and communicate status updates, including risks to deadlines
  • Identify business opportunities
  • Analyze business problems and generate hypotheses
  • Analyze data to prove hypothesis and make recommendations for improvement
  • Communicate analysis insights and progress on implementation

Qualifications

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 3 years prior banking experience including concentrations in reporting development and business analysis
  • Strong Analytical and computer skills
  • 3 years Experience in MS Access, SQL, SAS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint
  • Presentation and meeting facilitation skills

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Quantitative field (Such as Engineering, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Statistics etc.)


Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week:  40

Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Eastern Time
