Celebrating Diversity and National Hispanic Heritage Month
We’re big on celebrating. We celebrate the goals and milestones of our customers, the wins for our communities, and the career successes of each and every one of our colleagues. We’re also extraordinarily proud to build and support a diverse workforce that represents the unique cultures and ethnicities of the communities we proudly serve. That’s why to show our appreciation and pride for the accomplishments of our Latinx American customers and colleagues, we’re honored to once again celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month.
Enacted in 1968 as a weeklong celebration, this annual tradition was conceived to coincide with the civil rights movement and acceptance of differences. In 1988, it was expanded to become a month-long celebration that takes place every September 15 – October 15 to honor the cultures of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
Celebrating diversity – all year long
We’re honored to recognize this important annual tradition. But, we’re even more proud to help build awareness and opportunities for professional growth and success of our Latinx colleagues all year long. With our PRISM Business Resource Group, for example, we strive to give our Latinx, and other multi-cultural colleagues a unique platform to connect and drive our business agenda, strengthen our company culture, and improve the customer and colleague experience.
Diverse and talented individuals building something special together
Building a diverse and accepting workforce isn’t just a goal; it’s a movement toward ensuring lasting change and impact in the workplace – and the world. We know that bringing together our diverse perspectives, skills, and backgrounds makes us stronger together. And we’re proud to be recognized for our efforts not just with diversity awards and recognition, but in the contributions of our multicultural colleagues who experience success every day.
